Happy Birthday to my Faith! You will recognize our family traditions. First, there are the flowers from Daddy! This year she was surprised with beautiful roses. We start this once our girls turn twelve.
Choosing the dinner menu is also something the kids look forward to. A taco dinner is one of Faith’s favorite meals. This particular one has been requested over and over through the years, since I first put it together for a blog post for the Tyson brand. I love when my inventions turn into family favorites! Here is her menu:

And here is the family on her 17th birthday, minus the mom of course. 🙂 They will never look like this again. I know I need to jump into more of the photos, but I’m so glad for this tradition of taking the photo of the family around the table!
Seventeen years old! To think that when I started my blog she was just nine! It has been such a joy to watch Faith grow up. My heart swells as I think of her through the years. From the battle of the wills to teaching her to read (have mercy), from the tween struggles to beautiful, kind, caring (almost) adult–it feels like a miracle for this mom who had no idea what she was getting into when she brought this baby home from the hospital.
Faith is known among her siblings as the nicest! She will consistently put her own things aside to help one of them, play a game, or just chat. She is patient with the younger ones and so tender-hearted. She exemplifies a strong desire to do what is right. She listens to counsel and works on her faults. Faith studies hard and loves to learn. I am so blessed to call her daughter and friend!
Happy Birthday, Faith!
