The Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge

A couple of years ago a friend commented, after reading my blog for a while, that my life sounded so exciting.  That really surprised me.  I was a stay at home (and I do mean stay at home) homeschooling mama of five.  Exciting was not the word I would have chosen, at all!  But recently our family has been blessed with lots of opportunities to do fun things because of my blogging for which I am so, so thankful.  Most recently we were able to take the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas.

Great Wolf Grapevine

It had been a dream of mine to take the family ever since I first heard about it six years ago.  For years I would frequently check for coupons, but every time I found a great discount, a minimum two night’s stay was required and that was way our of our price range.  I even went to a horrible time share ordeal because we were promised Great Wolf Lodge tickets, and they didn’t pan out.

Anyway, I finally found an awesome deal on Groupon, better than I had ever seen, that only required a one  night stay in their Grizzly Bear Suite! We planed to go several weeks ago but we all came down with the flu so this week was what worked.  Thus it was turned into our Valentine’s Day family celebration!

Krispy Kreme is our absolute favorite doughnut on the planet so a quick run made all these kids super happy on Valentine’s Morning.

So cute, but I don’t think he would have given me a bite if I had begged!

You may have noticed the lack of Valentine’s Day posts this year.  Life has been so full and crazy and fun that I just didn’t see how I could fit it all in.  We didn’t even put up our tree.  I will be leaving for Peru just a few days after Valentine’s Day, and I decided it would be easier for many reasons, but Bobby is at that stage that keeping him away from the tree would be a pain and I didn’t want to leave that temptation around for everyone to worry about when I’m gone.  So…maybe we’ll get around to our St. Patrick’s Day tree!

We loved staying in the Grizzly Bear Suite.  The Great Wolf Lodge Water Park rocked!  It was two days of non stop fun.  The Magiquest game at the Great Wolf Lodge is a MUST.
