I’m going to The Declare Conference!

The Declare Conference is a Christian Blogging Conference in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  I was thrilled to be invited to go last year.  It was my first time to attend a blogging conference, and I had a great time.  Everyone was so nice!

I began my blog with a business in mind.  I have (gasp) published a post every day since I began blogging almost three years ago!  My husband is an engineer and extremely frugal when it comes to entertainment.  Things like vacations, theme parks, and movies were not budgeted.  As a homeschooling mom I dreamed of…well just getting out of the house once in a while.  My husband encouraged me to start blogging with the promise that the income from it would be used for vacations and other fun family outings.  Last year I was able to take the family on our first big vacation through blogging!  We took a Bahama cruise and took the kids to The Magic Kingdom and Busch Gardens!  I also had the amazing opportunity to go to Peru with Operation Christmas Child!  This summer we are planning a family vacation to Branson, Missouri.  It has been so fun to see so many of my dreams come true!

This world of blogging is forever changing and growing, and I have found that meeting with other bloggers through conferences and other ways has been hugely instrumental in my success.  We learn from each other.  At The Declare Conference I am excited to continue to grow as a blogger, but also to be encouraged as a Christian, by others who know and understand the ups, downs, and challenges of the blogging world.
