A few weeks ago Stefanie from UpLIFTing Words happened on my blog and invited me to the local Mamas Write conference. I thought it would be fun to go but didn’t really consider it since I have a nursing baby. Then two days before the conference it occurred to me that surely I’d be able to take him with me! It sounded so encouraging, and I’m always excited to meet bloggers. I sent some emails and finally found Stefanie on Twitter. To my surprise she sponsored my ticket! It was such a blessing!
I took Faith to help me take care of Bobby and keep him entertained. She did a fabulous job! She felt very grown up to enjoy the conference and help me out. What a wonderful time with my oldest and youngest!
I enjoyed the entire day starting with the food: Chick-fil-A breakfast, Firehouse subs lunch, and Nothing Bundt Cakes dessert. Am I the only one that lists the food first? I took my first ever photography class and learned some great tips. Maybe my photography will improve soon! We were encouraged to prioritize and set goals with our blogging endeavors. What a wonderful day!
When I got home my husband and three children were so happy to see me. Now that almost made it worthwhile alone! I asked Jason what he did while I was gone, “Nothing. It’s hard to get anything done with the kids, and I only had three of them!” Oh what sweet words! Sometimes I think it’s great for him to get a taste of my world!
I met some lovely ladies that I hope to keep in contact with and renewed the acquaintance of a few bloggers I met last year.
I’m linked with Gratituesday and Mamas Write Link-Up.

Hooray….I’m so glad that you were able to attend the conference, Esther! It’s awesome that Stefanie sponsored your ticket too ~ a “double” blessing!!
And it sounds like Jason has developed a new appreciation for all that you do at home….with all of the kids ; )
To Deb: Yeah, but husbands develop and lose that appreciation over and over. They need a taste of mother’s world every so often. But he’s a good sport.
Esther, I’m glad you got to do that! And hooray for Faith.
I love Bobby’s expression in the first picture – “Uh…what am I doing here?” LOL!
Thank you for the sweet mention. I’m so thankful EVERYTHING worked itself out so you could come. I’m thrilled to connect and plan on staying connected:)))
Have a sweet Tuesday, my friend!
Toooo fun Esther! I’m so happy you went!
How fun. I would have loved to go, too. Sniff.
