So when I heard Nickelodeon had a NickMom MotherFunny website, I had to check it out. You KNOW how I love to laugh. Sometimes I feel like my calling as a mom is to make all the other moms feel better about themselves! I’m so happy to find that I am not the only one. On the site is mom crack-ups galore like the page, “Items you unfortunately ran through the laundry.” I am not alone!! Remember the time I ran the diaper through the wash? Eww!
I got a kick out of the “What does your snack offering say about you” page! “Your voice may be saying, ‘Do you want something to eat?’ but your actions convey so much more.” Ha ha! I got to thinking, “What does what I offer as snacks say about me?” Which one am I? So I went through my archives to see what the truth would tell me.
Monster Apple Teeth! We had so much fun making, playing with, and eating these! The kids can’t have all the fun right?
After several mishaps my daughter and I came up with Pooping Turtle snacks with uh…six feet. Yeah. We have fun and are home educated! Ha ha!
I love these Bear Paw sweet potatoes! Just bake with a little Country Crock and cinnamon. Fun, fun, fun. I’m seeing a pattern here. I guess I figure if it’s gotta be healthy, it might as well be fun!
Or easy–fruit and a bagel is healthy too! I want to do right by my children, give them a healthy start. That’s good. I think… I was feeling pretty proud of myself. “My snack offering says that I’m a conscientious mom that wants healthy to be fun for my kids!” I thought. And then I ran across these…
My personal snacks. The ones I am not offering the kids! Deep fried dill pickle slices with ranch! Oh man! That’s a little bit of awesomeness!
And here is my all time favorite snack of potato chips with fresh squeezed key lime and cayenne pepper sprinkled on them. Then the realization hit me. Gasp! I’m a totally two faced snacker! Ha ha! I do love junk food, though I try to limit it. “All things in moderation,” is my motto. I make the health fanatics (like my husband) crazy!
So what about you? What does your snack offering say about you? Check out the page on Nick and tell us! Follow NickMom on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest laugh.

Love these healthy, but hilarious snacks!
Girl I’m a two-faced snacker too! 🙂 I do my best to eat healthy most of the time because I know it’s good for my body and I’ll feel full and satisfied longer (and I actually do like things like carrots and hummus – I could eat that every day!), but darn it, I love junk food. Sometimes a girl’s just gotta have cookies or ice cream for her afternoon snack while the kids are napping!
The pooping turtle is hilarious. I use the same ingredients and make apple ladybugs (too cute?), they are lacking a sense of lowbrow humor though. I like that you have a bit of sweet with your snacks, but they’re still healthy!
Oh girl, I’m with you. I feed my kids pretty healthy snacks and then go after the fried pickles myself. Total two faced snacker.
OMG your snacks are so much fun! You’re like the overzealous mom but totally toned down into the “realistically overzealous mom”. I love it! I love that you can see your personality here too, you look like a blast to be around! I guess if I had 5 kids, I’d find more humor in things too? Either that or I’d be in jail. Pick one. Thanks for including so many pictures! Love it!
