Valentine Fondue Party with the Kids

The family let me know that fondue was way too much fun to just do once a year on New Years so I surprised them with a Valentine chocolate fondue party!

I made a simple chocolate fondue.  To eliminate some of the fighting over the favorite dippers, I prepared plates ahead of time giving each equal amounts of each dipper.  I made a homemade pound cake and gave each one a slice cut into cubes.  Strawberries and heart-shaped marshmallows completed our snack.

We got creative with Valentine sprinkles!

More ways to have fun with fondue!

Oh I love it!!! We used to do fondue when my kids were growing up, but I always did the cheese and vegis/bread, etc. and they didn’t really care for the taste. My ex husband and my one son don’t like chocolate, so this wouldn’t have worked either. Looks yummy, Esther!!! How fun for your family 😉

I have a fondue kit someone gave me for Christmas–I’ve never used it. I think I’ll pull it out for tonight for Valentine’s day. Thanks for the awesome idea. I’m looking for those heart shaped marshmellow!

@MissMOE I got the marshmallows at Target, but I also saw some at Walmart and The Dollar Tree. Good luck! 🙂
