Easy Chocolate Fondue Recipe

Kahlua Chocolate Fondue RecipeI’ve been making this for several years.  It is just so easy, and I usually have the ingredients on hand.

What you need:

  • 12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips (I like it dark, but you could use milk chocolate if you prefer.)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (adding more as it thickens)
  • Many recipes call for a tablespoon of various flavored liquors.  You could also use a teaspoon of vanilla, rum flavoring, or almond flavoring instead.  I like to experiment with different flavors!

Chocolate chip fondue

When my fondue pot is being used I just put all the ingredients in a small crockpot on low.  It’s ready in about two hours.  By the way, you don’t need a fondue pot to have a fondue party.  We did it for years using our crockpot!  Not as pretty in the pictures, but it works!

Chocolate fondue

Our favorite dippers: strawberries, pound cake, rice krispi treats, pineapple, apples, and various marshmallows.

Chocolate fondue fun

Enjoy! Because a fondue party is so, so fun for everyone, and so easy to make!

Chocolate Fondue

The best recipes are always the super easy but incredibly delicious ones. Right? 🙂

I totally forgot about Fondue, thank you for sharing this easy recipe. I think I will be making this and making an average night a fun family night. I like the idea of dipping rice krispy treats in the fondue.

Sounds delicious! I will have to get a small crockpot or a fondue pot tho. My crockpot is huge and is used to feed the family dinner (I forget the size but big.) It would make a lot of chocolate tho 🙂

My daughter is always talking about the fondue fountain we tried at a family party we went to. I guess I should try this recipe and just buy a fondue machine. She would love this recipe
