Lake Conroe Homeowners Sweetwater Condos

Sweetwater Lake Conroe Homeowners

Condos have become our family’s favorite way to vacation. We rented one of the Sweetwater Condos! This 2 bedroom loft, in the greater Houston area, that sleeps 8 people for $349 for a week.  Total.  That included taxes and fees.  You can too! It ends up so much easier, cheaper, and more comfortable than purchasing multiple hotel rooms for our family of seven.

Check out Sweetwater condos! We stayed on the third floor: number 12!  Some people don’t like doing the stairs, but I really like not having people in the condos above us.  I met the sweet family below us who called us “the runners,” as my boys did love to run up and down the hallway.  Thankfully for them, we were away a lot and really did try to keep our crew quiet.  Whew!  🙂

Upon entering there was a long hallway.  The first left was a bedroom with a king size bed.

Next down the hall was the main bathroom.

Then the master bedroom was next which contained a queen size bed.

Of course there was a master bathroom.  Comparing the condo to others we’ve stayed in, the bathrooms at Sweetwater were a little more simple and outdated, but they worked well and had every feature we needed.

At the end of the hall and just before the living area is the stairway that leads to the loft, which also contained a queen size bed.

The living area was comfortable and perfect!  I loved the flooring, so much easier than carpet for our busy crew.  The sofa opened up to a bed.  Huge picture windows opened up to a balcony that looked toward the pool.

Lake Conroe Homeowners Sweetwater Kitchen

While I work really hard at not cooking when we travel, I love having a full kitchen for quick snacks and meals.  Also filling the freezer with ice cream sure makes the kiddos happy after a long, hot day in the sun.

I am happy to report we didn’t have a tummy flu on this trip, but traveling in my husband’s car rather than my van, we found out that my daughter Joy gets car sick…  So thankful for laundry facilities!!

Thanks to the website Trading Places and their “Hot deals” we have stayed at fabulous accommodations for a very reasonable price.  We loved our stay at Stormy Point Village in Branson, MO.  It was perfect.  For a family vacation in the Orlando, Florida area, we loved  Cypress Pointe Resort!

All of this too good to be true for $349?  It’s not!  The catch?  These great deals are mostly available in the off seasons.  You have to be willing to wait until about two weeks before you plan to travel to book your stay because rates don’t usually go down this low until about the last two weeks.  That’s it!

I never thought about staying at a condo before. It sounds wonderful! Thanks for the report. Are there dishes and things already there for you to use?

Yes! There are always dishes, and pretty much anything else you might need. It really is wonderful.
