Stormy Point Village Branson, MO

We recently got home from our first ever family vacation to Branson!  We had a wonderful time!  I visited Branson just for a day at Silver Dollar City when I was in college and have always wanted to return to take my family.  Last month that dream came true!

Something has to go wrong every vacation and on this trip it began about an hour and a half into the day of driving.  Jason started seeing spots.  It was the worst possible time for him to get a migraine!  It was up to me to drive all the way there while my poor husband writhed in pain.  Most of you know that driving isn’t my favorite thing to do in the world, but it was a nice easy drive up until the last two hours of driving round and round the Ozark hills on two lane highways.  I’m sure many a driver behind me told me to go back to Texas, but I was determined to get to Branson safe if slow!

Our Cottage at Stormy Point Village

We drove right to Stormy Point Village where we had rented a two bedroom cottage for a week.  It was our very own home away from home!

Stormy Point VillageThe cottage was gorgeous!  This is the nicest place we have ever stayed as a family.  It was amazing!  This was the view from the front door.

KitchenIt had a full working kitchen that I was bound and determined NOT to use as I was on vacation!  I can cook and clean at home!  Still, the kitchen came in very handy on more than one occasion.

Living areaThe living area was complete with a DVD player and fireplace that we did not use.  We must have been in Branson the hottest week of the year!  People kept accusing us of bringing the heat from Texas!

Downstairs BedroomThis was the downstairs bedroom.

Downstairs BathroomAnd downstairs bathroom.

Upstairs BedroomUpstairs was the master bedroom.

Upstairs bathroomAnd master bathroom complete with jacuzzi tub!  The shower was on the left and sink on the right.

Laundry roomThere was even a little laundry room!

A place like this must have cost a fortune right?  Wrong!  We rented it for a week for $294 including tax!  I would have never found it without my friend Katie who I introduced you to earlier this year.  She recommended Stormy Point Village to me because she had stayed there before and loved it as well.

We rented the room through Trading Places.  Katie gave me the tip that if you watch the Hot Deals page about a week or two before desired date the condos that are still not rented will drop in price to around $294!  For us it was worth the wait, but even weeks before our trip there were 2, 3 and 4 bedroom condos at Stormy Point going for around $600!  That is still a great deal if you don’t want to risk waiting until the last minute.

Besides staying in a beautiful, sparkling cottage the resort has lots to offer.  We has so much scheduled during our stay that we didn’t take advantage of the pools, weight room, and activities onsite, but they looked very nice.

I love it!!! My husband and I have both been to Branson separately, and we would love to take our kids someday. My hubby’s family took a camping trailer and my family stayed in an apartment-like condo. But the cottages are SO CUTE. That is where I want to stay when we finally go!

Oh my word. That is amazing! I’m trying to arrange a trip to take my Grandma to Branson sometime soon. I don’t know if it’ll work out, but I LOVE the place. My husband hates it. So, the next best thing is to take my granny 🙂

What a lovely, comfortable cottage for you and your family to stay at while vacationing, Esther….such a blessing!!

Hope your hubby’s migraine didn’t interfere with any other of your vacation plans/activities.

Thank you so much for reviewing Stormy Point Village. Even though it is a year later, I got a great rate through Trading Places for the week of Labor Day. Not quite as good as yours but still around $50 a night! I admit I really stressed over getting a timeshare sales pitch but guess what? It was never mentioned during our week stay. The cottage was lovely and we had the best vacation!! Again, thank you so much!

We have been members of Trading Places for 11 years but our time share is dissolving their relationship. Are you able to get the hot deals without being a member? I would love to continue to use their services

We are not members! Anyone can rent a condo through hot deals.
