Our countdown to Valentine’s Day has come to an end. I was not as organized and prepared for our activities this year, but I don’t think the kids really noticed. Most days as we enjoyed our treat or activity I reminded the kids that I was doing these activities to show my love for them. The verse I chose this year was 1 John 4:10 “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” He is the reason we celebrate! We would talk about the verse and they would quote their favorite verses on love. Below are the rest of our daily activities.
February 9th the kids had a Valentine’s party at their one day a week school that they attend. Whew! It was to be a busy day so we all agreed that counted for our Valentine thing of the day!
On the 1oth we surprised the kids with an evening run to get soft serve yogurt at Yogurt Story. I had never been there before. There must have been over 20 flavors of soft serve yogurt. I’ve never seen anything like it! It’s a little pricey, but ice-cream bothers my husband’s stomach and this he is able to enjoy.
February 11th I prepared a Valentine chocolate fondue party!
The 12th day of February we enjoyed Valentine cookies.
The 13th I made cinnamon Atole, a favorite Mexican drink from my childhood, that we enjoyed in our Valentine mugs.
Today I am taking a break from the cooking and plan to take the family to iT’Z for some food and fun. How are you celebrating?
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I’m linked with Gratituesday.

I have enjoyed your Valentine’s countdown activities! I made pink heart shaped pancakes for breakfast this morning and we’re having a quiet dinner at home this evening with a family favorite meal of baked chicken. Enjoy your day!
Looks like you made Valentines extra special for everyone! I made cinnamon rolls this morning for my boys 🙂
You really made their week with all these activities. What a fun mom! Happy Valentines Day to you and yours Donna from Believe in Yourself.

What fun! We really don’t celebrate Valentines day. After my busy months of November and December I can’t find it in me to make some major do. But look at you go Mamma! great job!
I tagged you in my recent post. I would love it if you came over and played along 😀
