I rarely travel without my husband and/or kids. It’s always been my desire to take them places, not leave them behind. I’m ever in search of our next places to explore, but tomorrow I’m heading out with Ashley, my niece, for a dream Disney World Trip.
Ashley is a jewel. While life went on as normal for the rest of our family, she chose to stay home and help care for her mom, my sister Sara, and has been Sara’s right hand through her appendix cancer journey. She also helped home school here younger brother, worked for her dad, and made time to help with my parent’s care as well when they have needed her.
It has been Ashley’s life long dream to go to Disney World. I don’t know of any Disney fan who is more enthusiastic than she is. Through the years she has planned trips with various people, and one by one they have all fallen through. She never seemed to let it get her down though, she’d just start dreaming of her next way to get there.
Last summer I asked her how her Disney trip plans with a friend of hers were going and once again she told me it wasn’t going to work out. “Enough is enough, she deserves to go,” I thought. I told her that if she could save the money for her part, I’d go with her on her dream trip as long as she didn’t mind going with her aunt. ๐
She took me up on it! We’ve saved the money, done hours of research and planning, and leave TOMORROW for our dream Disney vacation. While I really wanted to make this happen for her, it’s also been a dream of mine to stay on Disney property complete with meal plan. With a family of seven, our Disney trips have always been budget with pb&js included! ๐
I hope you’ll follow along our adventures on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and especially cheer Ashley on as she realizes her dream Disney World trip.
