From Port Arthur and Beaumont, Texas to Pensacola, Tampa Bay, and Orlando, Florida our latest family road trip took us through many adventures. I’m so excited to share what’s new as well as our family favorites at Busch Gardens Tampa, our family’s #1 theme park pick for thrill rides. I was provided with Tampa Bay City Passes by Visit Tampa Bay. All opinions are my own.

Roller Coasters
Each of my kids lost their fear of roller coasters at Busch Gardens. With so many to ride at varying thrill levels, my kids started on the smaller coasters and before the day was over would be riding all that their height would allow.

The family favorite roller coaster is the Cheetah Hunt. It is a triple launch 4,400 foot coaster that is incredibly smooth! This trip was the first in which Bobby was over 48 inches tall and able to ride most of the coasters. He went with a few nerves and left wanting to ride them all again! It was so fun to ride together as a family.

Tigris is open!
We just missed Tigris® on our trip, but saw the signs and construction when it was all most completed. Now we need to go back for Tigris!

Tigris® is Florida’s tallest launch coaster! Featuring a triple launch with forward and backward motion that soars riders through looping twists, daring drops, a 150-foot skyward surge, and an inverted heartline roll! It reaches speeds of more than 60 miles per hour, and is designed to feel like the amazing agility of the world’s most powerful cat – the tiger.

Skyride
We took a break from the thrills and flew high on Skyride.

The cool, crisp wind caressed our faces as we enjoyed panoramic views of the park.

Real Music Real Masters
The shows at Busch Gardens are something I look forward to. What a treat to get to see actual stars perform their music, and it’s all included with park admission

Congo River Rapids
I have to include this. This photo was snapped just before we were taken on a path that sent ME into every stream, splash, and waterfall along the path. Others left with a sprinkle; I wrung out my clothes the rest of the day. How the family enjoyed this. 🙂

Serengeti Train ride
Don’t miss the Train ride at Busch Gardens. This is also one of my favorite things to do when the sun is hot, and we all begin to tire. The little ones can nap if needed, but the animals are amazing.

We saw rhinos, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and much more. My little thrillers seem to balk at the mention of a slow train ride, but they love it every time!

Penguins
I just want to squish the penguins. They are so cute. These African Penguins thrive in warmer weather and water temperatures, making Florida a great place to host them. I just love to watch them waddle and swim.
It was another fantastic trip to Busch Gardens. My family is growing up so fast. The kids are now between the ages of 7 and 17. While I have enjoyed every theme park trip since they were babies, this was probably the most fun we had as a family now that we can all ride and enjoy the park together. I’m already looking forward to next time.
