Yesterday was my Birthday! We spent most of the day at church, but Jason took us all out to a nice Mexican restaurant for supper. “Now kids, this is Mama’s Birthday so let’s make this a special dinner for her,” Jason admonished as we all climbed out of the van.
The food was really good, but the kid’s behavior prompted me to ask (when the meal was over), “So, I’m just curious, on a scale from 1 to 10 how hard did you try to make this a special birthday dinner for Mom?”
“Uh, I forgot it was your birthday,” was the sheepish reply I received! Ha ha!
Afterward we came home for cake! I had purchased a tiramisu for myself in advance. Oh yes and I had to pull the camera out and ask, “It’s my birthday will someone please take a picture?” So there ya go!

Happy “belated” Birthday Esther! Very cute story! Oh, I remember those birthdays when my kids were younger, lol! Kids are soooo funny…they really think our world revolves around theirs(sadly, they really do). Hahahaa! That’s what I love about them though, they’re so confident in their roles! Hope you had an awesome day…may God bless you with many more!!
Happy Birthday, Esther!!
Praying that your birthday was as special as you are = )
That tiramisu looks amazing ~ hope you enjoyed eating it!!
Oh happy birthday Esther! Glad you had a good day.
Happy birthday Esther. I think all of us mom’s have had a birthday similar to yours. Take heart one day they will get it.
Happy Birthday!!!! Sounds pretty typical of a Mom’s birthday!
A little late but still good to wish you Blessed Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope the cake was a great one!
One of these days when they’re older, your kids will take responsibility for throwing you *many* lovely birthday parties and you will be so proud of them for their generosity and maturity. Trust me!
That cake looks fabulous. Happy Birthday!
Happy Belated Birthday! I have been known to bake my own birthday cake before. 😉
