We had such a fun weekend! Jason and I actually got to go on a date! You know, the kind without the kids. It’s a rare thing, but I love when we get to go. I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow. The weather was gorgeous and we spent lots of time out in the back yard.
We dug out the BB gun. (Spent some time teaching gun safety first.) Then went out and practiced target shooting. Joy was probably the most excited about learning, side by side with her dad of course.
It had been so long since I shot a BB gun I didn’t even remember how to hold it! But I have to brag just a little. Guess who got the closest shot to the target? Uh huh. ME! I rarely ever beat my husband at anything so it’s definitely something for the books when I do, just a little fun to rub it in! My dad will be proud! 🙂
I haven’t taken photos of the kids in a while so I followed them around outside snapping shots.
Bobby. You think he could have found a dirtier ball?

I think I was a teenager the last time I did target practice. That is soooo many years ago. You have beautiful children.
That looks like a lot of fun! I am sooo jealous of your nice, sunny, warm weather ~ we were under yet another winter storm warning yesterday (ugh!). Enough of winter already ~ bring on spring!!!
So glad to hear that you and Jason got to spend some time as a “couple” and go out on a “date” together! What a blessing…especially after your recent loss. Can’t wait to hear about your date = )
You have some beautiful kids!
Date night is always a blessing. I’m glad you got to have some one on one time alone. We have a shooting range in our backyard, but so far haven’t gotten the BB gun out for the kids to try. They have seen me use it though, to scare off some of the neighbor dogs that want to pick a fight with our dog.
My husband taught our kids how to shoot BB guns at a young age. My husband loves target shooting.
Wonderful pics of the kids. Have enjoyed watching them grow up through the blog over the last few years …
We went to “Gunstock” this past Saturday and had a ball. Jim and I squared off twice and he won once and I won once. But I think I could have taken many of the guys there. Some of them were pitiful.
Your children are adorable!!
Oh my goodness — I had no idea that your youngest was getting so big!
Very nice pictures, by the way!
