Ta-da! “That special cereal” ala Valentine! This was our Valentine thing of the day on the sixth of February. It was the one thing that my kids requested we have.
I call it breakfast, you know, because it is cereal after all, but I let them have it for supper! Yep, I’m one of THOSE moms! Really if you’re not sugar phobes (You know who you are! Some of you are still here.) you’ve gotta invest in some marshmallows and sprinkles. In seconds they transform something ordinary into something exciting! I let the kids decorate with the sprinkles themselves. If you haven’t seen a child shaking sprinkles on a treat seconds before plunging into it, then you’re missing out!
They loved that the colored sugar sprinkles turned the milk pink! What a fun surprise!

Gee, I am sorry I missed breakfast! That looks delicious!!
I’ve been known to serve cake for breakfast. But I’m in good company. Bill Cosby had a whole comedy routine about serving his kids cake for breakfast, how it included eggs and whatnot.
Who said that cereal is only for breakfast?? or that you can’t have pancakes for dinner?? I, for one, like to think (and live) outside of the box…the cereal box that is! Love this idea Esther!
