I get so excited when I find a fun place to eat. When you have delicious food plus a unique atmosphere, well…it just doesn’t get any better than that. I had driven by Twisted Root Burger Company several times and noticed that it was ALWAYS packed. So one day I just up and took my daughter to lunch. We were in love and HAD to go back with the whole crew.
We love that when you place your order, instead of asking for your name they give you a name. This time we picked up our order when they called, Mike Tyson. The time before it was something like Cinderella!
Everything is ala cart and there are no “meal deals.” As you can see it’s not the cheapest place to get a burger, but we’re in Texas y’all and we know burgers. Check out the list of fun burger toppings!
And oh, oh, OH! This is my favorite part of Twisted Root: the pickle bar. For a girl that played I was a princess who owned…all the pickles in the world, when I was little, I am in heaven at Twisted Root! I love them all but bring on the hot and spicy. Yum, yum!
We love to eat out and we do it a lot. With a family of seven we get away with it by ordering water to drink and splitting meals. Three burgers, 1 order of fries, and an order of fried pickles filled us all up and didn’t break the bank.
Hmm. Apparently Chuck Norris kills 100% of germs. Did you know that? I didn’t know that! Ha ha. Yep, Twisted Root, someone reads it! Ha ha.
The hamburger buns are seasoned on the grill and the meat is juicy and delicious. Great burger!!
Of course the pickle bar is not enough for me. I HAVE to have the fried pickles. The manager thought I had to wait too long for my order so he treated the kids…
to ice cream sundaes! How fun is that! The kids all
fought over enjoyed their yummy dessert, that was indeed a special treat as we don’t often splurge on dessert.
There was one table all by itself that was decked out for romance. I wondered if someone was going to propose at Twisted Root, but no it was just for the next lucky guest. If only I had left the kids at home… Ha ha! The manager came out seated a couple and served them himself. How fun is that!
Finished eating? The fun isn’t over yet at Twisted Root. How about a picnic size Jenga style game. Oh yeah!
Twisted Root is a super fun and delicious adventure for the whole family. I know you’ll like it as much as I do! Find a location near you.
I’m completely bummed that I don’t live down south where I could try out one of those mouth-watering, delicious looking Twisted Root burgers : (
Perhaps I’ll have to come up with an excuse to travel to Texas ~ are you up for a visit?
Well, I’m nowhere near Texas (yet), so I guess this means…ROAD TRIP!
