To Make My Husband Laugh

One of my daily goals is to make my husband laugh.  This is today’s success story:

We were eating supper–steak and German potato salad.  My little two-year-old boy was happily eating his potato salad.  Evidently he and I were the only two that cared for it.  My daughter Joy was impressed that he would eat it.

“He’s going to be like Mama and love potatoes,” I said.

“Eww, he likes vegetables!” Joy exclaimed.

“Well then, maybe he’ll be like his daddy and love vegetables,” I said.

“No, he won’t.  Remember when he threw his peas all over?”  (Peals of laughter.)

Having thought about it for a minute, I said, “No, the truth is Daddy likes the IDEA of vegetables.  He doesn’t actually like to eat them all that much.”

Jason didn’t say anything for a few minutes.  Then he started laughing.

“What’s funny?” I wanted to know.

“What you said about the vegetables.  It’s true!”

He really likes to be healthy, but I guess he’d never thought of it this way.  I love to hear him laugh.  My day is complete!

Laughter is so important in any relationship. I’m glad that you and your husband can share a giggle over such simple things. It makes the daily routine so much more enjoyable, I think. 🙂

I love the inside jokes between my husband and me. The laughter that only he and I get is the best and the sweetest gift! Cute post!

I’m kind of like your husband. I know the vegetables are good for me, and I like to raise them (and they are better fresh from the garden), but I don’t eat nearly as much as I should. Meat, yes. Just froze about 14 pounds of deer burger.

I wish I can make my bf laugh everyday, too!

I am a boring person w/ a serious personality so it’s a big challenge for me. He’s the one who always make goofy faces and childish sounds to cheer me up. I really hope I can do the same for him.

Btw, the man in our life shares the same name, my bf is also Jason. =)
