The Health Museum of Houston

Our Family Vacation to Houston Part 2

Here is Part 1

We actually had a very enjoyable trip to Houston stopping at a pizza buffet on the way.  Driving straight into downtown Houston, we circled around looking for the Health Museum–the first of our Houston City Pass Attraction destinations that we had purchased as a bundle to save money.  Now the Health Museum initially didn’t sound all that interesting to me for obvious reasons, but after reading about it, I thought it would be fun, and it was.  The kids loved all the over sized inner body organs on display to grab, move and learn about.  Our tickets also included a 4D movie about the inner body, involving a guy encountering various germs and what happens inside him.  What kid wouldn’t like that?  Well, my girls said, “It was gross!” when I asked them what they thought about it.  I’ll have to take my boys back someday.  I bet they’d rally with me!

Check out the size of that brain!

I’m glad I’m not a dentist!

What your bones look like inside!

They requested I take this shot!  🙂

Continue to Part 3.

I live in Houston and remember going to the health museum all the time growing up! My mom always identified it as “the one with the giant mouth” 🙂 We loved it!
