Over the Memorial Day weekend, Faith and Joy worked endlessly all morning writing out verses. “We’re going to have a Bible Party tonight,” they said. They kept adding to their plans. “Can we have party food?” I told her she was free to make it–and she did! For those of you that know I’ve been working on teaching her to cook, this was a proud momma moment!
She made the grilled cheese sandwiches by herself using her Hello Kitty sandwich maker.
She made a chip plate and a fruit plate and set the table.
After we ate they took us all up upstairs where this was all set up. They even made a Lego church!
They used the books to read stories from. They had questions on the cards. Each person that answered a question correctly received a custom made book mark with a verse written on it!
It was the best Bible party ever! I think maybe my lack of parties these last few months forced them to throw one of their own. I loved that Faith felt confident enough to plan and make the food and it touched my heart that they wanted to throw a party–like I do!

This is wonderful, Esther. You must feel so proud of these two girls.
That is so sweet.
Wow!…those girls are great party throwers 🙂
Maybe they have the gift of hospitality in em!
I love parties, especially spontaneous celebrations…also think Kool and the Gang “Celebration” should be on every family’s party playlist:)
that is so sweet! i love that your kiddos want to celebrate the Word! you’re doing something right there, mama! 🙂 this morning we sat down to breakfast and i was still sleepy. my two year old looked at me and said “where’s the book, mommy?” “what honey?” “where’s the Bible?” she noticed that i forgot to put their story Bible on the table, since we read every morning at breakfast… that kinda made my day! 🙂
A Bible party? That’s amazing. Glad they enjoyed themselves. I used to pretend I was a pastor when I was little.
What a sweet story! Your girls are special!
THat is adorable! What fun. 🙂
So sweet! This brought back memories of my sister and i when we were little. Memories to treasure!
That is great! Good job, girls!!
That is so cool that they threw a bible party!
And why do I not own a Hello Kitty sandwich maker? Man that is awesome!
Ah, I would have beamed with pride if they were my girls! This is such a precious story. And I love how you are teaching them to celebrate life and God.
What a fantastic party idea! I love that they came up with it themselves 🙂
Did they make it up? That is fantastic! 🙂
That is so neat! I think it is so sweet that they made the bookmarks and the Lego church was so cool!
I love this! What a great idea. I think I see some Bible Parties in our future as well.
Adorable! It’s great when the kids come up with the creative ideas and celebrate something so worthy. I bet you were grinning from ear to ear 🙂
How precious that your children would throw a Bible party! You must be doing something right!
