Teach Them Diligently Kids Program

Our children were accustomed to the homeschool and family conference in Houston that keeps siblings together during the kids program.  I don’t know if it will still be that way this year in Houston, but they did the last couple of years anyway.  My oldest two girls didn’t miss a beat, but my 4 and 7 year olds were quite nervous to be by themselves in this new big place.  Dropping and picking up four children from four different lines took quite a bit longer, but the staff was kind and friendly and things went smoothly.

My four-year-old had a hard time making it the entire day, but I wasn’t surprised.  He is not used to that much structure yet and without a nap and tired from traveling…well, I’m glad he did as well as he did.  My seven year old loved the program once she got over her shyness.

Battle for Truth Kids

My two older girls had a blast start to finish!  They have always enjoyed the homeschool conference kids programs, but I think not being with their siblings really helped them connect with other kids.  Both girls felt like they made strong friendships in just those couple of days.

Battle for TruthSorry about the fuzzy photo!  That’s what happens when you see your child having a blast, want a photo, but are in a hurry to get to the next great session with a toddler in your arms!  Ha!  It was obvious the kids were having a blast!

Both girls came home with the addresses and phone numbers of their new friends.  Joy was so cute telling me all about her “BFF” who she knew for all of two days!  Neither of my girls have spent much time on the phone, but they were dying to talk to their friends.  They dialed the number and then didn’t quite know what to say.  It was so cute.  I hope they are able to keep in touch!
