Our celebration isn’t the same every year. The day of the week it falls on and what ever else I have going on determines how we celebrate. This particular year we had friends staying with us from out of town. I didn’t want to be cooking all day so I went with a brunch.
Baked Egg Casserole
Baked Cheesy Grits
Fruit Salad
Shamrock shaped toast
Irish Creme Coffee
I can hardly remember what it was like when we were a family of five!
St. Patrick’s Day is in a couple of days and I still haven’t nailed down a menu. It looks like I’ll be sifting through recipes today. The kids are asking for another green lunch. We’ll see… What are you doing for St. Patrick’s Day?
I’m linked to Raising Homemakers and Works for Me Wednesday.

Pierce has a Kiss Me I’m Irish shirt too.
Cute tree!
Hey- how was that Irish cream coffee?? 😀
Our first year in Germany, Erin had some– it was ‘good’! It was during orientation at BFA, they went to a local coffee shop to practice ordering in german… he ordered the coffee and when he got it- wow! and ‘oops’!! It was authentic!
Oh man, when I read “this particular year” I thought I’d missed it, but then I looked through my meds-induced-haze and saw too few children. But then, I suspect I’ll miss it this year anyway – she’s not big down here! Enjoy, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
I’m not sure what we will do, I should probably figure it out 🙂 Your brunch sounds delish!
Mom wants to go out, I want to cook, and no one else cares. Haha So guess it looks like we’ll be battling with the decision till it’s time to make that choice. Can’t wait to see what you guys do, though!! xD
I will be making my first corned beef. Wish me luck. I have never even tried corned beef!
I am absolutely in love with the matching shirts! The menu sounds delicious and your apron is adorable!
I won’t ask if your Irish cream coffee was spiked…
Not sure about this year. We don’t usually get too excited about it. But you go ‘head. 🙂
I can’t wait to hear what you guys end up eating! Your menus are always super creative and fun. My mom always colored our oatmeal green on March 17th, and we always had corned beef and cabbage for supper. I haven’t carried on the corned beef tradition, because I’m pretty sure it would be an “Eww!” around here. I do like playing with green food coloring though…
Wow, look at those cute photos! You guys really get into it! I love it!
Oh my gracious! You are so good to really celebrate. All I did was add some green food coloring to E’s mac and cheese, which she wouldn’t eat. Your menu sounds wonderful!!!
