Shopping with Children

Shopping at our favorite buy-in-bulk store, Jason and I were having a debate as to whether or not we should purchase the Asian salad.  Our two middle children found a near-by plastic storage building that was set up to entice people who have way too much stuff.  My girls were running in and out of the building, but I didn’t think they were hurting anything.  In fact, I kind of forgot about them in the middle of our “to take or not to take the salad home” discussion.

So I didn’t notice the lady that walked up to the storage building telling her husband, “Look, we could sure use one of these . . .”  She flung the doors open, and like a jack in the box, up popped my two children!  Throwing her hand to her heart, she stepped back and exclaimed, “It comes with children.  I don’t want one that comes with children!”  We, they, and every passer-by had a grand laugh over the whole thing!

That is hilarious! What a great story. It is nice to hear the woman was not angry. She must be a mother and/or grandmother to have reacted in such a humorous way. Thank you for sharing this and linking up to A Day In Our Life Blog Hop.

    Have a blessed day Esther!

That is funny! I agree, so nice to see someone with a sense of humor. Someone who knows how kiddos are and doesn’t want to punish them for it:)

Shopping with four children can be hard, especially when they’re full of energy. I often shop at night so my husband can watch the kids for this very reason!
