Sometimes I see the pictures that I have posted of myself and feel kind of guilty. They are pictures taken on days that I have actually brushed my hair and uh well, not really an accurate portrayal of what I really look like. I’m really just a jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes and pony tail gal ninety nine percent of the time. Since I am the one usually clicking pictures I couldn’t find any more honest portrayals of myself. So I decided to leave you with a self-portrait session my husband and I did a while back. We laughed hysterically for a good hour trying in vain to get a good one. Here are a few:
Well that’s better, but what is the matter with my neck? I better get that checked out!
Wanna look like you gained fifty pounds? Try a self portrait!

They are all great, Esther. You and your husband are an attractive couple — I don’t think you take many bad pictures. 🙂
Those are great! I always take a ton of my girls and my hubby, but totally forget to take pictures with him and I! Thanks for the great reminder!
The photos are lovely.
So cute! Self portraits are really hard to take! Well, even harder since my hubby likes to make funny faces in them, he he!
Cute pictures! The worst picture of myself I ever put on my blog is the one from right after I finished running the NYC marathon. I was freezing and looked like I’d just been through the wringer. At the time, I wrote that it was worse than post-birth pictures, LOL.
They’re all cute–but especially the last one!
Sounds like a fun way to spend part of an afternoon…and you have photos to capture the memory of the time you spent. Perfect!
Very handsome couple you two make! 🙂
You guys are a cute couple (with a couple of cute kids too) I don’t think you could take a bad picture!
In that last one, you look like you’re telling your husband something sneaky…
I LOVE these!! Especially when you’re laughing. You have an incredible smile. 🙂
And I agree on the self-portaits! They’re so hard to do! I always cut part of somebody’s head out of the picture. I’m really impressed with yours!
LOVE the last one especially! Lots of personality coming through!
Can just imagine how much fun you guys must have had!
FUN! Arno & I have a lot like this from Valentine’s Day and me trying to hold out my arm and not get the squished neck thing. It took awhile and people on the Boardwalk were probably SLIGHTLY amused (but no one offered to help, so laugh away, I say), but we final got a couple of “cute” shots!
Thanks for sharing!
I agree about that one–you look like you gained 50 pounds all right. I don’t see how you could take a picture that would make you look like that, even on purpose, but there it is.
Love them. 🙂 Last summer I took some “self portraits” on the beach, and they actually turned out so fun. My kids thought they were hilarious.
Love having your couple self pics on Marriage Monday. 😉

Haha Yes, I do believe there is a little talent required to take a decent, respectable self portrait!! I don’t know how those MySpacers do it! haha But I applaud your attempts. Very pretty smiles. =D
