As a part of the Texas Travel Talk Community, I attended the Travel Talk Converge Conference at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas with my family. It was my first time to visit Schlitterbahn New Braunfels! Have you been?

As a long time Texan, I’ve always heard that this is “The Mother of all Waterparks.” Seriously, that’s the word on the street, and I’ve always wanted to experience it with the family. Y’all, I was not disappointed. I have never been to a water park that offers so much. Schlitterbahn New Braunfels has been honored with the title of “World’s Best Water Park” for 20 straight years. It’s incredible!

The only thing better than a day at Schlitterbahn with the family, is staying on site at the resort! We stayed at the Riverbend Cabins, and it was the best experience!

A little bit rustic that adds to the fun, with all the amenities, including full kitchen, the Riverbend Cabins have everything needed for an incredible family getaway!

Wake up to Schlitterbahn fun! Just past our door step was the “Rapid River” as my family calls it. The Riverbend Cabins are directly connected to the Blastenhoff Section of Schlitterbahn. This is where resort guests get early entry!

It was so fun for the family to be able to come and go from our room! I spent much of my time in conference learning and connecting, so my daughter Joy took most of my in the water photos. They all had a blast.

One of our favorite Schlitterbahn attractions is the river. We can literally stay in the river all day. There is so much to do! In New Braunfels the river even connects both sides of the park. There are rapids, waterfalls, rides, and so much more all from the river.

Since we came home from New Braunfels, several moms with little kids have asked me if the park was so big it was overwhelming. Looking at the map, it is certainly mind boggling.

This is one park we didn’t conquer in one visit, and we didn’t try to. We just stayed together, enjoyed section by section, had a designated meeting place if someone got separated, and had a blast. It was fabulous!

Did you know you can take a cooler of food and drinks into Schlitterbahn? I love that and have done it before. As a family of seven, we so appreciate the option as budgets are often tight. On this occasion however, we ate at the park and the food is goooooood!
Y’all let’s make it a Schlitterbahn summer! We had so much fun, but one visit isn’t enough. I’m planning on heading to Schiltterbahn Corpus Christi soon. What park are you going to next? Maybe I’ll see you there!
