I overheard my daughter impersonating me to the others. I tiptoed over to the room and peeked in. She was being overly dramatic throwing her arms and shouting out commands. (I don’t do that. Surely!) Then as an ending to the little show she said, “Mom’s so weird.” That’s when she looked up and noticed me watching. Now I am no ghost, but she looked scared enough. I had to laugh. After all these years of living in my house she should, after all, know that by calling me “weird,” she just paid me a very high compliment. Seriously, who wants to be the alternative?

Cute! Which daughter?
Love this! My son tells me I’m weird too and I also take it as a compliment. Gotta keep things interesting I tell him. Found you on the blogfrog.
Love it! I completely agree that being called “weird” is a compliment. I would hate to be plain ol’ boring and so-called normal.
Hahaha…my kids do the same thing….so sarcastic and dramatic…gotta love em:)
I hear you! My daughter stood up on the fireplace and said, “Guess who I am?” Then she went on to shout, “EVERYBODY BE QUIET! I’M TAKING A TEST!” Then all three kids said “Mom,” and turned to stare accusingly at me. Oh dear. Not a good reputation. 🙂
Indeed, why be normal … Life is way too serious! Enjoy reading your random, daily life blog posts …
That’s hillarious… I love it when I hear my kids talking and I just stand there until they notice me…. the look is priceless.
So funny! I love hearing my little ones pretend to be mom.
One of the sweet homeschooling teen girls I know, who adores her mom, chose as her email address some variation of “momstooweirdforme” . . . Cute!
