Our St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast

On the evening before St. Patrick’s Day I placed all the necessary items for a simple but festive breakfast on the table.  The next morning Bobby woke me up at six in the morning and wouldn’t go back to sleep.  Reluctantly I got up, but I was SO tired.  When he got sleepy again around eight, I went back to bed and completely missed our breakfast together.  When I reappeared late in the morning the kids let me know they enjoyed breakfast without me, but not to worry because Daddy had taken pictures.  I thought it was so sweet that Jason had thought to take pictures for me!  I couldn’t wait to see how their breakfast had gone…oh how I laughed!

The first thing I noticed was the spoon!  Too funny!  My daughter Joy had chosen to make what they call “that special cereal,” but well it looked as if she just dumped the sprinkles all in one spot!  I was laughing WITH my husband as we looked at the photos, and he pointed out that Joy had placed the marshmallows in the shape of a doggy face.  Did you notice it?

This one made me dizzy!  Grace chose Lucky charms for her St. Patrick’s Day breakfast.  This cracked me up too.  I would never have let her put marshmallows and sprinkles in the Lucky Charms.  It is sweet enough as it is, but I’m sure she enjoyed it.  Then I noticed, “Holy cow that is A LOT of cereal.  I don’t even eat that much for breakfast,” I told my husband.  He smiled sheepishly and said he wondered why she didn’t finish it.

Then I got to this one.  My secret is out.  I never iron the table cloths!  I normally take strategic photos that at least hide how badly wrinkled they are!  Ha ha!

So they had fun, I got some rest, and I got a grand laugh over these photos.  It was a great start to our St. Patrick’s Day celebration!

I don’t even use table cloths because I don’t want to have to wash and mess with them. I didn’t even notice anything about yours even after you pointed it out. I don’t think it looks wrinkly at all. If I did go to the trouble of using them, I wouldn’t iron them either 🙂

So cute! We use place mats on our kitchen table, ones that I can wipe off and clean easily! The dining room has the wrinkly table cloth! 😉

How sweet that he took pictures for you! 🙂 Your husband “gets” you. I love that.

I don’t iron tablecloths either. Never have! Neither did my mom. The only time we used them was for Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas and the table was so covered in dishes that you couldn’t see the tablecloth anyway. LOL

Cute! I totally eat huge bowls of cereal like that, if I do eat cereal.

I’m sure your kids enjoyed their extra-sugary cereal. LOL
