Irish Beer Bread

St. Patrick's Day Beer BreadThinking of something different than Irish Soda Bread?  How about Irish Beer bread?  It is a super easy quick bread that will have your family thinking you’ve been cooking all day.

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1-12 oz Irish Beer
Green sugar sprinkles just for fun
2 teaspoons melted butter

Mix all of the ingredients together except the green sugar and butter. and place in a greased 9×5 inch bread loaf pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.  Remove from oven and brush bread with the melted butter and sprinkle with green sugar and bake for another 10 minutes.
Irish Beer BreadWe loved it served warm with butter.  Yum!  It doesn’t get much easier than this!

Google is my best friend. Any can of beer would work, but if you don’t know what beer is then I can’t help ya. lol I actually think you can make the same type of bread with a can of Coke. It would just be sweeter and well a totally different flavor. 🙂
