Holiday Jalapeno Cream Cheese Ball Recipe

My sister Miriam made this one Christmas when I was in high school and I think I’ve made it every year since then.  When I made it for Jason, he loved it and it’s one of the kid’s favorite holiday foods too.

Mix together:

  • 2 8oz packages cream cheese
  • 6 slices (Carl Budding) Beef lunch meat slices, chopped
  • The greens of 6 green onions, chopped
  • Chopped pickled jalapeno slices to taste (about 1/4 cup)
  • Dash season salt
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce

Make a ball and then roll in chopped pecans. It’s the best served with Wheat Thins. I’ve tried all kinds of crackers, Wheat Thins are a must!

Merry Christmas!

Esther

We don’t really eat the cheese balls in my area, but I am seeing a lot of recipes for them. I think I will have to try this, it sounds delicious!

My doctor just told me to stay away from fats, cheeses, milk…. basically anything that tasts good because I have high triglycerides (sp?). How do you tell someone that around the holidays!!! LOL! Maybe I can start next year?? This just look to good to pass up!

I totally am a cheeseball snob. I only like mine. But wouldn’t you know, my husband was hanging over my shoulder while I was reading your blog and he says, “Hey that looks good. Why don’t you make one of those this year?” Ummmmmm. Thanks a lot!!! (I have to admit…it does look good though!)

I think I’m going to make this, except without the nuts. (I have all the ingredients except nuts and I don’t want to go to town!)

    Thanks for the recipe!
