And just like that we have another teenager in the house! It seems I spend most of my time in denial, as I just can’t believe my little girl has grown up so fast! But I’m not the only one who’s noticed. Even the lady that checked us out at Walmart exclaimed how fast she’s grown up.

The white roses are her gift from Daddy! This year he took her to pick them out. I was surprised she chose white, but they sure are beautiful. She says white is her favorite color.

For her birthday meal this year, Grace requested Domino’s Pizza! Note the jalapeno peppers on that there slice. Yep, this Tex-Mex mama is proud! 🙂

Her dessert of choice was Dr. Pepper and Root Beer floats, which made the whole family happy on that hot May day in Texas. Yum!
From little girl to young lady, Grace has truly grown up so fast. Out of all my kids, Grace is the most like me in personality. Now she’s her own person, mind you. I’m not putting her in a box, but I find that I understand her and how she thinks, and it’s fun for me to watch.
Grace loves to play video games with her sisters and brothers alike. Rarely one to enjoy school itself, she loved her Classical Conversations group this year and looked forward to going each week. She is creative, artistic, and a natural writer. Some label her as shy as she is reserved around people she is not familiar with, but once she’s comfortable and trusts someone, she comes alive, and is very talkative. Grace is sensitive and cares deeply for her friends.
I’m so thankful for 13 years with Grace! Happy Birthday!
