Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine invited my family to share our #GWLSummerLife family fun by taking over their Snapchat for two days! We enjoyed a two-night stay, including Paw Passes for the kids, and some meals hosted by Great Wolf Lodge. All opinions are my own.
Make it a Great Wolf Lodge Summer!
Relax in a suite perfectly suited for your family!
Choose from standard, themed, or premium suites. As a family of seven we need space! For this stay we enjoyed the Loft Suite.
The Loft Suite features two queen beds, full bathroom, and sofa sleeper on the main level.
Then the loft is of course upstairs. I loved that we were all together yet my husband and I also had some privacy.
The loft features a queen bed…
and half bath! There was so much room! The Loft Suite is definitely one of my favorite suites at Great Wolf Lodge. Be sure to check out the KidKabin Suite and the Grizzly Bear Suite as well, also some of our faves!
It didn’t take us long to check into our room and get settled in. Then we were ready for some fun! Great Wolf Lodge is such a great place truly all year round. In the summer, I usually think of being outdoors with the kids, in Texas, however, the sun and heat can be way too much in the summer months and while Great Wolf Lodge offers lots of fun in the sun too, there is also a world of fun to be had indoors!
Make the most of your stay with Paw Passes! Here’s what’s included:
Magiquest!
I like to think of Magiquest as the ultimate indoor scavenger hunt. Included with the Paw Pass is one MagiQuest or Shadow Quest game with choice of classic or color wand and standard topper or belt. Kids love choosing their own magic wand!
Enter a world of enchantment, pixies, wizards, dragons and more. You will have arrived when you defeat the goblin king!
Clues lead you to various places throughout the property. You know you found the right item when it lights up and sometimes speaks to you.
It’s up to you how much time to spend with MagiQuest. You have four days to come back and progress if you want to. The first time we played until we completed the quest. You can play for 30 minutes or several hours.
Creation Station!
Hands down, one of the favorite things included in the Paw Passes was the Creation Station adventure. Choose from select animals and watch as it’s brought to life with stuffing.
The outfits were not included in the Paw Pass, but a few of my crew spent their own money to dress up their animal. These are souvenirs that they treasure!
Glitter Tattoos!
We waited till the end of our getaway to get the tattoos so the kids weren’t taking them in the water. It was so much fun and completely painless. 😉 They loved their tattoos!
Paw Prints photo!
My personal favorite item included in the passes is the 6×8 3D Paw Prints photo. As the photographer in the family, I have a hard time getting in the photos or getting everyone in one shot. This is my treasure, such wonderful memories!
Jelly Belly!
The 12 oz. candy cup you get to fill with your favorite Jelly Belly flavors in the gift shop. Filling up a whole cup of candy to keep for themselves was a new experience for all my kids. They were wide eyed the entire time. This became our treat for an evening watching a movie on TV in our Loft Suite. Guessing the flavor with each bite was comical. Don’t worry none of the kids ate it all at one sitting. 🙂
Personalized Leather!
Choose a leather treaty bracelet or key chain from The Name Shop! My kids all decided on the leather bracelets.
The machine is front and center and the kids even get to push the button and watch their name being etched in the leather!
Goggles!
And the last thing included in the Paw Pass is their very own choice of select goggles! We are always sharing goggles between them so they were thrilled to get their own! Ready to swim!
Splash and play!
The Texas sun was oh so hot and with recent sun burns we kept our fun in the sun to a minimum, but they HAD to do everything. It’s just not right until you’ve conquered every slide at Great Wolf Lodge!
The younger kids enjoyed the huge shallow kiddie pool and splash areas. I loved watching the joyous shrieking when the water poured out.
And then of course our time included hours and hours of swimming, splashing, and sliding in the over 80,000 square feet of pure, good fun!
There are water slides for all ages and thrills! It’s so fun now that even my little guys are tall enough to enjoy some of the big slides, such a blast!
I joined in the fun with the kids and also spent lots of time watching and relaxing with my eldest. I so love to see her growing up and spending more time with me.
Dine!
Is Great Wolf Lodge for foodies? Oh yeah! We literally parked the van and didn’t leave until our getaway was over. You have lots of choices from quick food at the water park to pizza at Hungry as a Wolf, to amazing buffet options at The Loose Moose Cottage.
As a busy mother of five I am always running around serving so I loved being served at Lodge Wood Fired Grill!
The food was amazing! The 7 oz filet served with veggies was melt in your mouth delicious! The loaded baked potato included jalapenos! It’s like it was created just for me! And we had to try the popular Mason Jar Salad. We haven’t stopped raving! The kids also loved their kid’s menu choices and fun drinks available.
And since there were seven of us anyway, they just went ahead and brought a tray of all of their mini desserts to try, so good!
Such a wonderful weekend, but it had to end! Time is not to be stopped, but we have so many wonderful family memories of the Great Wolf Lodge Summer Life!
Plan your next family getaway today. Relax, Play, Splash, and Dine at Great Wolf Lodge!

All looks wonderful. Again, when I get to go, I can just sit and watch the kids have fun. That would be fun enough. And the food looks wonderful.
