The kids were so excited for their first day of school. Yes we still homeschool, but they attend a one day a week school for homeschooled kids. We have had a really great experience there for the last several years. The classes offered are a little different each year. It’s lots of hands on fun for the kids and a much appreciated day to run errands and get things done for mom!
Little Jason was so excited that his teachers from last year are his teachers again this year. He loves going to preschool and his teachers are really good to him!
Grace is in first grade this year! We’ve actually got some catching up to do to finish Kindergarten, but that’s my fault and not hers. I just couldn’t fit everything in after Bobby was born. It’s amazing what a few months can do though because she is flying through her work whereas last year she found it challenging.
Joy is in third grade. She was so excited to go back to school and see all of her friends. At home she is rocking her math curriculum and is over a fourth of the way through it already. Woo hoo!
Faith found out just a couple of days before that her closest friend from last year wasn’t coming back. She and I both sat down and cried. Faith is a quiet girl and we really mourned the loss of this friendship. She was, however, still very excited to go back to school. At the end of the day, she said she had a blast. Everyone is nice to her there, and she made some new friends too! Sixth grade is starting off great!
After I picked them up we all went to Rita’s for some awesome Italian Ice to celebrate their first day of school. It was a great ending to a great day!

Haha….I love Little Jason’s expression….he must really like Italian Ice!!
Faith is in 6th grade already? Praying that she’s able to establish another “best” friend this year ~ they are so important at that age!
She is blossoming into such a beautiful young lady! Pretty soon you’ll have a teenager on your hands, Esther = )
Do the people at Rita’s have your picture on the wall? You should show them this picture. Of course Jason is missing and he likes it too.
How cool a 1 day school for homeschoolers? Looks like you are super busy!! And Rita’s Yumm… a great treat!!
I love that last picture with Jason eating and the rest of you looking at the camera. He couldn’t wait could he?
It’s also nice to see you in a picture with all of your kids. Now if you could just get both you, your kids and your husband in a photo, that would be perfect! 🙂
They are so adorable! What a nice break in the week, for you to have some time to reorganize your mind!
