I love to cook and try new foods. I am at a stage in my life, however, when planning is difficult. Right now I rarely make it to a store without all five kids in tow. I often find myself at the grocery store without a plan, and then get home and realize…I still didn’t plan anything for supper! I was excited to try Kraft Recipe Makers!
I found Kraft Recipe makers in the “Meal Starters” aisle. Recipe Makers are available in seven delicious varieties at Safeway or Safeway affiliate stores. I chose three different packages and purchased the additional ingredients needed for the recipes printed on the backs of the packages. It was so easy to plan my meals on the go this way!
I bought the Hickory BBQ Beef to take to our church fellowship meal.
The night before I put the roast in my crock pot and poured the Brown Sugar & Cider Vinegar Simmer Sauce over it. Then I covered it and cooked it on low overnight.
In the morning followed the package directions to shred the beef and pour the BBQ sauce over the cooked meat. I stirred it up and took it to church. It was completely gone. There wasn’t even a bite left over. I’m going to have to take this again. I’m always looking for good and easy pot luck dishes!
Next I tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken.
Pour half of the Sesame Ginger Simmer sauce over cubed chicken breast. Cook until done.
Recipe Makers are easy. Simply add your fresh ingredients for a flavorful, homemade dish any night of the week. Next add chopped red pepper, chopped red onion, and the rest of the simmer sauce and cook 4 more minutes.
Add pinapple chunks and the Sweet and Sour Pineapple Finishing Sauce and cook 1 or 2 more minutes until hot.
Serve over rice!
We loved both of these dishes and can’t wait to try more. What an easy way to plan and make home cooked meals!
Each Recipe Makers can make dishes one of three ways. You can choose from a variety of prep methods, including in a slow cooker, skillet or oven. The two dishes I made I just followed the instructions on the back of the box, but more recipes come inside.
Tomorrow I’m making Kraft Recipe Makers Verde Chicken Enchiladas! I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

I LOVED these at church Sunday! They were delicious. You should definitely bring them again…SOON!
This look absolutely YumYummy! I would definitely go for the Sweet&Sour Chicken…
I had the hickory bbq beef for supper tonight, and I just now read your blog. It was really good! I’ve also made the sweet & sour chicken, but my favorite is the New England pot roast! These are awesome time savers!
