Chateau Avalon Boutique Hotel

My stay at Chateau Avalon was part of a familiarization trip with Visit Kansas City, Kansas. All opinions are my own.

Unique and gorgeous! If you’re looking for an out-of-the-ordinary, romantic escape, have I found the hotel for you in Kansas City, Kansas–Chateau Avalon!

A chain hotel has it’s place, and I have my favorites, but whenever possible I love to stay, eat, and see things that I won’t be able to find anywhere else and Chateau Avalon is one of those gems! Welcome to this French inspired paradise located in the Village West area of Kansas City, Kansas by the Kansas Speedway. Delicious chocolate chip cookies greet you as you enter the sweeping entryway.

Owner Steve Beaumont fulfilled his dream of bringing a one-of-a-kind European romantic escape to the Midwest when Chateau Avalon opened in 2004. The boutique hotel is his pride and joy and the attention to detail reflects this.

I was so excited to see which room I would get. I found it very fitting that I was given the Jesse James Escape Room. My dad was a cowboy, and I grew up with quarter horses. Loved it!

A tour of the Jesse James Escape Room at Chateau Avalon! Separate from the jetted tub there was also a full bathroom with shower not pictured. So much fun!

Breakfast is brought to your room so don’t forget to make your choices and hang your order outside your door the night before!

Enjoy breakfast in bed! I had the made-to-order Baked Strata. It was piping hot and perfectly delicious!

There are classic, adventure, and luxury theme rooms to choose from. I had the opportunity to peek into several other rooms so here is a sample.

Each of the 61 rooms at Chateau Avalon has a theme with gorgeous murals, architecture, and decor all enhancing the theme.

Each room also has a two person jetted tub to enjoy! Romance awaits!

The presidential suite  entrance is a library with a hidden door that opens up into your room! This was my absolute favorite. I’m grabbing my man and making plans to go back!

Wonder what the inside of other rooms looks like? Just take a look at the art around the hotel! You will see paintings of the various themes.

During my stay I saw couples walking together on the grounds, receiving chocolate covered strawberries, heading to the spa, and enjoying drinks in the bar. It all just seemed so perfect!

When I looked at Chateau Avalon online, I thought my kids would love to stay here, and they would, however, all the rooms are intended for two so maybe I’ll plan a mother/daughter trip too!

I loved the one and only experience of Chateau Avalon!

I live just 5 miles north of here and have only been in the Hotel one time. Thank you for your kind words about this. I hope you found all of Village West enjoyable.
