November 13, 2012 Disney Pixar debuts the Blu-ray hi-def, Digital and On-Demand “Brave.” It is a breathtaking adventure that has entertained audiences of all ages. The Blu-ray release includes hours of all new bonus material, behind the scenes features, extended and deleted scenes, a mysterious new short film, and much more.
We recently enjoyed “Brave” for our family movie night! The kids had been dying to see it. We all sat down to watch the movie and realized no one was going to enjoy the show until one poor child showered! In record time we all sat back down and pushed play. It was about that time that it became obvious we’d have to stop the movie again to change a diaper. Half hour later from the time we had all first settled down we actually watched the movie. It was worth the wait!.
I wasn’t surprised that it was the #1 animated film of the year. The film is gorgeous. I absolutely loved Merida’s bouncy red hair. I appreciated the story line about a strong-willed girl who takes matters into her own hands to get her way. I have one of those myself. It was great to discuss as a family these parenting issues after watching the movie. The kids could see how those choices were wrong and caused lots of pain. We also talked about how in real life things don’t all go back to how they were. There are lasting consequences.

I think the family fav. Pixar/Disney movie might be Cars… My son loves the tractor scene!
My favorite Pixar/Disney movie is the original Toy Story movie! I loved watching the toys come alive and then go back to being just toys when a person would walk in the room.
I’m a Toy Story girl. I loved all 3 of them and, like every other mom I know, I cried like a baby at the end of the 3rd one.
My family loves UP! Such a sweet, tender story.
