Boarding School

I was talking about my boarding school experience, and I didn’t realize that my children were paying any attention.  My first-grader piped up and asked if she could go to boarding school. Although I had been talking about some the fun things I did there, I didn’t want her to get too excited about it.  So I started telling her some of the down sides of boarding school, but she would not be persuaded.  I asked her what she would do if the teachers didn’t like her. “All the teachers like me.” (Insert motherly smile here.) I explained that she wouldn’t get to see me except twice a year. “Can I take your picture…to remember you?” I feel so loved! 🙂

She’s adorable! <3 haha I remember feelings just like that when I heard my mom's stories! I still think I missed out by staying with my parents all through school, but then again, there are quite a few negative things that were missed as well as the good! haha
