My kids attend a one day a week school for homeschooled kids at a near by church. Last year we were only able to send my oldest two, but this year they all get to go. There is a Mom’s Day Out that runs the same hours so even my Little Jason will go this year to make it easier for me to make doctor’s appointments and run errands before the baby is born and also to give me a little break after the baby arrives. The little school has an annual back to school splash party that is included in our tuition. My girls looked forward to it all summer as they were dying to see all of their friends.
My youngest two had a blast playing together in the two foot pool. I actually donned a swimsuit and waded around with them–scary thought I know. There will be no pictures of me to share–har, har! Even though I had the floaty swimsuit on my little boy he still ended up falling forward and had a hard time getting up. I wasn’t too far from him in the water, but walking through the water is slow going. It seemed like several minutes went by before I could get to him and pull him up. I didn’t let him wander too far after that!
Joy with a couple of her friends.
I’m linked to Hip Homeschool Hop.

That does look like fun. And I know something of how you felt when little Jason fell in the water. That happened to me when my son was two years old, only he didn’t have a float device.
Looks like fun, and a great way to start off the new school year! Stopping by from The Hop!
How fun. Your kids always seem so excited to do special things. i have a niece that gripes and complains about EVERYTHING!!!!! We went to a church carnival the other day. It was fun. We left that one to go to another one that ended up being really lame. So, we left after about 15 minutes, and she was SO mad. It’s not fair!!!! Oh I wanted to smack her.
It’s nice to see grateful kids that truly enjoy life 🙂
glad your kiddos seem to really appreciate special events. it is nice for you to have a built in break to your schedule! 🙂 praying for your pregnancy… 🙂
What a fun day! Splash parks are so fun. My kids would go swimming every day if I’d let them. 🙂
It must still be hot in Texas. Your kids look like they had fun!
