I received an email from a potential sponsor who asked me to fill out their application. It is pretty standard for a potential sponsor to ask for my blog statistics. They want to know how many people view my blog on average and how many page views per day. As I got to the end of this particular form, it asked for my Klout score. It was the first time I had heard of Klout. I signed up right away. I figured if it is important to those interested in becoming my sponsor then it is important to me!
Klout.com is a site that measures the online social influence of an individual. They determine your score when you connect your social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, among others.
As your Klout score increases you may also be eligible for Klout Perks. I didn’t pay that much attention to it until one day I received an email letting me know that I was being offered a Perk. I followed the link and was thrilled to accept a $15 gift card to try an item from Chili’s Lighter Choices menu! Well…yeah!
So the other day I finally had the opportunity to go. I had a lovely time going by myself! Is that strange? It’s the perfect time to people watch and eaves drop! I chose the new Grilled Chicken Salad:
Grilled chicken with cheese, tomatoes, black beans, corn relish and honey-lime vinaigrette.
In case you wondered how I liked it! I actually thought about licking the plate! 🙂
So how about you? Got Klout?
I’m linked with Women Living Well.

I don’t have Klout, never heard of it until this minute. But, that salad looks like something I SHOULD have! yum! Glad your hard work at making us all smile each day is paying off in fun perks for you. 🙂 Also glad you got some alone time..every mommy needs that! Keep up the great, funny work!
I have heard of it but just haven’t hopped on but I am liking that whole perk thing, very cool. I’ll have to check it out:-)
No I don’t have Klout, first time am hearing about it, don’t think I will sign up though, don’t want my friends to read the things I blog about them lol… but yummy that food does look delicious.
I joined Klout many moons ago, but just signed back in recently when *someone* had given me some klout — thank you Esther! 🙂
I haven’t heard of Klout either. Do you have to pay to sign up? And congratulations on the perks!
I used to have a Klout account be recently deleted it as I seriously don’t fine it useful to me..also those perks are limited to US based while I’m in Singapore.
That was a fun Klout perk! I think going by yourself was the perfect choice…I’d love some alone time!
I have heard of this Klout but did not realize it was something to sign up for. I had not looked into it, now I shall 🙂 Because mainly, that salad looked good.
I’ve never heard of Klout. Thanks for telling me. I might go look it up.
I did that Klout thing a while back, but haven’t really pursued it too much further. Nice to hear you got to go out a bit though!
