Valentine’s Day Countdown
The kids have really been looking forward to February! I’m really glad I’m feeling better and excited about things myself.
I put together a list of the daily activities I did last year. As you can see, some were quick and took no planning at all and others were more time consuming. I tried to switch things up and planned the more involved activities for days when we would have more time.
It’s not too late to begin a countdown!
1st Put up and decorate Valentine Tree and take pictures of the kids with their new T-Shirts.
2nd Valentine (Pink) Sticky Buns
3rd Make and decorate your own Valentine cookie.
5th Heart shaped pink bread pudding
6th Hide candy in their rooms for them to find during quiet time.
7th Play a review game with their homeschooling facts with Valentine M&Ms for prizes.
8th Drink hot chocolate in Valentine mugs.
9th Make your own heart shaped pizza.
10th Strawberry shakes
12th Chocolate dipped strawberries
13th Go out to eat heart-shaped pizza.
14th Krispy Kreme Donuts for breakfast, Red, pink, and purple lunch, and a Five course family dinner.
I hope you’ll have as much fun planning activities as I do!

fun way to celebrate the day of love
you are my inspiration for fun foodie ways to celebrate holidays!!
all great ideas, I will be sleeping in that day.
Hey, you made an index! 🙂
Esther you truly are an inspiration. I wish I was your kid. I know I say that frequently but the memories your children will have!! So wonderful!
What fun ideas. You always come up with great things. One year out of cardboard stock, we made heart shapes in different colors and wrote sayings you’d find on the candies. We made a banner and also scattered some on the table. Your friend Donna from Believe in Yourself Community.
Wow your family did a lot of fun activities last year, I love these ideas. I especially like the idea of having a Valentines tree and getting the kiddos matching shirts, how adorable. You have inspired me with all these wonderful ideas, thank you for sharing.
Hmm- no Valentine’s day where we live :(.
You are simply amazing!!!! Your kids will have so many great memories from all these traditions. You are a thoughtful mom!!!! 🙂

Such cute ideas!!! I’ll bet they had a lot of fun!
Hi-
Love your ideas! Love the tree idea, quiet time candy, and heart shaped pizza. My kids would love this…. (especially the quiet time candy hunt) Also I’ve never made jello jigglers with mine- so I’m sure that would be a big hit! Here’s what I did with mine last week- They love Tea Parties: http://www.embracinggrace.org/2013/01/how-to-have-valentines-party-with-your.html
