UTI Relief

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Uricalm® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

“Mom, I have the kidney!” I remember whispering in my Mom’s ear when I was about six years old and my parents were entertaining company. It’s one of those comments that made my mom laugh and has been retold through the years. I can’t believe that at that age I already had frequent UTIs or Urinary Tract Infections, but the UTI has been a frequent enemy for as long as I can remember.

Struggle with UTI pain

When I was little we called a UTI a kidney infection, I’m not sure why. But when I was in grade school I actually had my first and thankfully only actual kidney infection. I remember the awful pain, but what I remember even more was my parent’s concern. It was a big deal.  The infection resulted in my first penicillin shot. I’ll never forget that and the mean old nurse. “It won’t hurt,” she told me, “It’ll just feel like a mosquito bite.” Lie. Lie. Lie. I thought my leg would fall off. I was so mad. To this day I want to be told the truth. I absolutely hate people lying or sugar coating the truth. I want to know what to expect!

UTI relief with Uricalm Max AD

Though I never had another kidney infection, I’ve battled UTIs my entire life. They can be so painful! Once I was in the dentist office waiting for three of my children to get cleanings, and I was doubled over in pain. Finally, I had to leave without the kids finishing their cleanings! I had to get some relief! I went straight to the doctor.

For so, so many years the only way to get something that would help the pain was through a prescription! I was never so thrilled as when I found out that pills were available over the counter!

Uricalm MAX UTI relief AD

Do you struggle with UTIs too? Now, I never leave home without Uricalm® MAX. You just don’t know when the pain will hit! Uricalm MAX is a maximum strength urinary pain relief tablet and promptly relieves UTI symptoms with 99.5. mg of clinically proven Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride–which is the highest dose available. Plus Uricalm MAX also contains cranberry!

Uricalm Cranberry MAX AD

“Drink cranberry juice!” how I cringed when the doctors told me that when I was little. You see, it’s not the flavor that I detest. It’s, well, I used to say, “It makes your spit stick together!” Do you know what I mean? If you’ve ever had to down cranberry juice by the quart, you know what I’m talking about! That sensation makes me gag!

I was excited to try Uricalm® Cranberry ! Uricalm Cranberry features a powerful combination of ingredients in every yummy, chewable tablet. It contains cranberry which scientific studies have shown a link between consuming cranberry and maintaining a healthy urinary tract.* And it also has D-Mannose that helps prevent the adherence of particular microorganisms to the walls of the urinary tract thus allowing the body’s natural defenses to help keep the tract healthy.* Hey, for a simple, yummy way to support a healthy urinary tract, I’m all for it!  Like with everything in your medicine cabinet, please read and follow all directions before using.

Here’s to doing all I know to do to keep the UTI enemy away! But when the enemy hits I know I have UTI relief in my purse–love that!

Relief and UTI’s are not two words that normally go together well! I really start pushing the liquids including water and cranberry juice but to be honest I usually end up at the walk-in-clinic to get back on track. They usually prescribe a numbing med, antibiotics, and more meds to prevent yeast infection, but it would be nice to have an alternative that I could have on hand for those weekends/holidays when I can’t get to the DR right away.

I unfortunately had to deal with this on my honeymoon. By the end of the week, the bartenders would start pouring me a glass of cranberry juice before I opened my mouth.

I’ve since started using essential oils. I apply Young Living’s Thieves on my feet daily and Melrose on my abdomen if I have a sneaking suspicion that one is rearing its ugly head!

Eat right, drink lots of water, cranberry juice, taking care of your overall health helps prevent these horrible things. I’ve only had two both during pregnancy and it was so horrible.

Cranberry juice to keep them away. Lemon-Cucumber water helps. Lots of watermelon does, too.

I started taking cranberry tablets just recently to help with my urinary tract health. I’ve been prone to them my whole life as well. I normally avoid tampons when I have my period for fear I’ll get an infection. I also started taking vitamin C every day because my doctor said that helps too.

I’ve cut down on sugar in my diet, plus I drink a LOT of water each day and that helps tremendously in preventing UTI’s with me

I have been trying D-mannose Cranberry Hibiscus Tablets from Naturesupplies. Very similar to your tablets. They have been working a treat.
