Trinity Forest Adventure Park Dallas, TX

Our family enjoyed Trinity Forest Adventure Park as a part of a blogger promotion.  All opinions are my own.

Trinity Forest Adventure Park zip line #adWe had so much fun at Trinity Forest Adventure Park!  I can now cross zip line off of my bucket list.  I have always thought zip lining looked like a blast.  I had no idea this was available right here in the Dallas area!

TIP: Purchase your tickets ahead of time.  A couple of times throughout the day I saw people hoping to “walk in” and while they do take walk ins you’re out of luck if the day is booked as it was when we were there.

TIP:  Arrive at least a half hour before your scheduled tour time.  We got there at the time our tour was supposed to start.  First we had to stand in line to receive our wrist bands, even though we already had tickets.  Then some of us needed a bathroom.  By the time we arrived at the site we were about a half hour late.

Trinity Forest Adventure Park setting upAs soon as you reach the Adventure course site, you are fitted and outfitted with all the safety gear including harness, helmet, and gloves.

TIP: If you have long hair bring your hair pulled back or something to put your hair back with.  I missed that in the instructions and had to get creative to get all of our hair pulled back.  Here is a full list of the rules and requirements.

Trinity Forest Adventure Park trainingNext you are taken through an on the ground course.  You must pass this course before being taken up on the adventure course.  The instructors were very nice and lots of fun.

Getting ready for the Trinity Forest Adventure Park #adWe all passed!  Woo hoo!  We got in line and prepared to begin our adventure.

The boys at Trinity Forest Adventure Park #adTIP:  Do not bring kids 5 and under or bring a friend or Grandma who would like to take them over to Southern Cross Ranch to play while you are on the Adventure Tour.  We brought our boys and Trinity Forest was great about it, but one of us had to stay down and be with them while the rest were on the course.  Since the tour is for four hour slots, Jason and I spent part of our time switching off watching the boys.  We were only able to get in two courses each while others had time for four or five.

Trinity Forest Adventure Park 1st climb #adJoy was first.  Those of you that know her probably just said, “Of course she was!”  She had so much fun.  I think she got through the most courses.  Trinity Forest Adventure Park Yellow Course #adI watched from the ground as the family very nervously began the easy course.  The first one isn’t that high off the ground and there are several obstacles before arriving at the first zip line.

Trinity Forest Adventure Park ariel #adI had fun watching them and learning from the ground!  Neat spider web at Trinity Forest Adventure parkThe boys originally were disappointed that they weren’t going to be able to participate, but then when they saw the kids up high they didn’t want to anyway.  They had fun exploring!

Then it was my turn.  “Oh, no need to do the easy course by yourself,” they told me, “just go ahead on the next course with your kids!”  But uh…that one was obviously much harder…and higher!  Yes!  I was very nervous AND excited!  My sister watched the video clip and laughed and laughed.  “You were nervous for that short little zip line?”  Hey it was high up there, and it was my very first one.  But I did it, and it was fun.  They do get longer and more challenging as you progress through the course.  But go ahead laugh AT me if you will.  🙂

After our tour was over, we had a blast at Southern Cross Ranch…

So adventurous! I’ve been wanting to go zip lining! A zoo around us does it, so I wouldn’t have to go too far. Looks like family fun!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun! Great tips for anyone who wants to have the same experience. I’m sure my son would love to do this (he’s ten).

That looks like A LOT of fun – I would love to go zip-lining. I also have a fear of heights, so I think it would be interesting to try a ropes course.
