Joy and I had the opportunity to attend the Walmart Chosen By You Expo. Walmart asked a thousand kids to pick out the top toys of the year. We were able to see, touch, and play with the top toys at Walmart for the Christmas season Chosen By Kids. Now is the perfect time to shop! You get first choice on everything before it’s sold out and you beat the crowds. Win!
It was so great to have my 11 year old daughter Joy with me as we explored all the new toys. Out of everything we saw, I’m presenting you with her top choices for her and her siblings. Christmas shopping for the kids will be so much easier this year!
My kids are pet lovers and it doesn’t matter that we have two real live dogs around they love Fur Real Pets and JJ My Jumping Pug Pet had her ooing and ahing. He jumps up and barks just like a real puppy and sits like a good dog. He is cute!
Frozen lovers at your house? Joy loved Frozen Sing-A-Long Elsa. Sing a duet with Elsa! The microphone is such a neat feature. Sing with Elsa or take turns singing with her. She will pick up where you leave off, so fun to sing with Elsa!
What Frozen fan wouldn’t want Disney Frozen Elsa Castle? Create a magical light show, turn snow to stairs, send an icicle chandelier spiraling downward and make the castle “grow” — all with simple movements.
Fun creations you make and eat? My girl wants a Candy Craft Chocolate Pen! I think all of my girls would have fun with this! Included in the kit are also candy molds to inspire creativity!
Joy really loves to make things so at the top of her personal list is the the Crayola Magic Thread Wrapper. Not a crafter myself, I have to admit this is really neat. We watched as items were so easily and quickly threaded into beautiful creations. Included are also markers to color the thread.
For science lovers and those that just like to make things or watch chemicals react Project MC2 Ultimate Lab Kit is such a fun and great way to learn. Kids can conduct their own experiments at home or on the go, just like the girls from Project Mc2. The over sized lab “bag” unzips to reveal the Ultimate Lab Kit.
As much as we love to travel Joy picked Electronic Scrabble Twist out of all the new games and wants it for our next road trip. I agree…as long as I can play too! The game displays five letters at a time and the more three-letter words you can find in them, the higher your score. Just tap and twist to bank each word and move on to the next!
In Joy’s top three was the Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Shipwreck Rails Set. This surprised me. “Oh you want to get it for your brothers,” I corrected her at first. “No, I want it! I can build it then play it with them!” Ha ha. Joy is my master builder and she really, really wants a chance to put this together. Featuring upside down spiraling action this track is super fun.
Max Tow Turbo wowed us! It could actually pull the wagon full of water. Max can push or pull up to 200 pounds! I see endless fun with Max in our future!
I see hover craft toys everywhere now, but this is our favorite! HoverTech Battle FX is a hover craft that you shoot down! Does it get any better than that? With two guns the kids can battle it out. We loved this!
I spotted the Minion Action Figures from across the room. Christmas morning just won’t be right unless my Minion lovers have one of these. 🙂 Each one is a little different, but they are all super fun!
We had the exclusive opportunity to view the new Star Wars toys out for Christmas. We went behind a curtained room and weren’t allowed to take any photos. It was all very exciting! But now the toys are out and you can see them to at the Walmart Star Wars Experience! I am a huge Yoda fan and this Star Wars Legendary Jedi Master Yoda is just super cool. I might want him for myself if I were one to admit that kind of thing… He is voice activated and speaks more than 115 phrases!
There were so many wonderful options for the Christmas season at Walmart. Time does not allow me to tell you about each one, but now you have a great place to start!
Which toy is already on your Christmas list?
