The Wedding

Walking Daughter down the aisleOur road trip took us all the way to northern Minnesota to watch my brother Nathan walk his eldest daughter Katie down the aisle!

At the alterKatie, who was a flower girl in my wedding “just the other day,” was such a beautiful bride.  She was so cute in the passionate way she said her vows.  A couple could not have been more excited to be getting married.

A wedding blessingAs I  watched the wedding I couldn’t help but think that it will probably seem like a flash and my children will be walking down the aisle too.  How time gets away from us!

Man and wifeMan and Wife!

Receiving line sweet momentThis is one of my favorite shots of the day.  Katie and Christian sharing a sweet moment in the receiving line.  This is how happy they looked the entire day.

Wedding receptionThe food at the reception was beautiful and delicious!

Cutting the cakeCutting the cake.  They had a little fun but were respectful with exchanging the first bites of the cake.  I always cringe when couples smash cake all over.

Thompson familyWe stole the bride and groom long enough to get a family photo.  We were just missing my eldest sister and her family.  I sure wish they could have been there with us too.

Going awayAnd just like that they got in their car and drove away.  It was such a beautiful wedding!

Looks like a wonderful day for your family. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m getting further away from my youthful days, but they do look VERY young. I’m sure if I looked back at my own wedding photos I would be amazed at how young we looked too.
