The Lorax Movie

Since St. Patrick’s Day was on a Saturday and Jason would be home all day I didn’t want to spend all day in the kitchen making three different meals like I did the year before.  We had a simple breakfast and then for lunch I splurged, using the money that we’ve earned blogging, and took the whole family to see The Lorax Movie.  We love a nearby theater that serves meals and not just typical theater junk food.

Everyone enjoyed the movie and the food.  I think the message was quite lost on my crew though.  We had to laugh.  When we arrived at home the first thing Grace did was to run over near the house, pull a tall weed, and yell, “Ha, ha, ha I chopped down a tree!”  It felt a little criminal.  I looked all around to make sure no one else heard!

Then later I saw my oldest singing and jamming out to, “How ba-a-a-d can I be?  I’m just doing what comes naturally.”  She saw me watching and stopped, “That was my favorite song mom!”

Kids. I love that they are just real and don’t need to pre-think everything. I need to still see the movie – so it was worth it, ey?

I love that she was singing that song…and realized that she shouldn’t be. 🙂

    Was the movie good?
