Joy came to me and spouted angrily, “Faith pulled out my tooth!”
“Did she do it on purpose?” is what I heard come out of my mouth.
“Yes…we were playing dentist!”
“Ha, ha, ha!” is what she heard from me. I thought it was hilarious that they were playing dentist and her sister actually pulled out her tooth.
We had just been to the dentist two days before. The man frowned as he looked in Joy’s mouth and said, “This tooth needs to come out in the next two weeks or you’ll need to bring her back in for me to take care of it.” Joy has been so distraught about the dentist pulling her tooth that it has been her daily prayer request that the tooth fall out before then. So it really was a blessing that the tooth came out, and I’m sure her sister didn’t do anything cruel!

Way to come through, sis!
Oh that’s hilarious!
Keep an eye on that little ‘dentist’! She’ll go far!
I love the picture of Joy. She looks very joyful.
LOL too funny….and now it’s documented on your blog. …20 years from now around the Christmas dinner table…”remember when you pulled out my tooth when we were playing dentist?” LOL
oh that is so cute. The best story of “playing dentist” I’ve ever heard. Actually, I think it’s the only playing dentist story I’ve ever heard.
Yeah sis!! So cute!
Well, it sure is cheaper having a sister as one’s dentist…
You just saved yourself $100. LOL
What a funny story. It is also sweet that your daughter was praying that she would not have to go back to the dentist to get her tooth pulled out.
I can see this becoming an Irish family legend! They will skip over the fact that the tooth was loose already and needed to come out and just tease unmercifully that a tooth was pulled out during play!!
That’s so cute! But how in the world did she get up the guts to do it? I wish I could have been a fly on the wall then.
