A sweet lady we had recently met invited my husband over to her home to give him a bicycle for the children. With five kids ages 3-14 if you’re giving anything kid related away, we can probably use it! She wrote her name and phone number on a small card and said to just call first and come get it.
We were out and about town and Jason decided it was a good time to go. He was driving so he fished out the card, told me the phone number, and had me dial it. He looked at the card a little puzzled and said, “Oh I thought she said her name was Marcia.”
When the phone was ringing I handed it to him. A few moment later I heard him ask, “Hello? May please speak to MarSEEa?” I took a double take. He chatted for a minute and then hung up. As we headed to the lady’s house, my husband said again, “Hmm I could of sworn she said her name was, Marcia, but right here she wrote, MarSEEa. See!” he handed me the card.
It read, “Marcia.”
Ha ha ha! How I laughed. I’ll give it to him. It SHOULD be spelled with a “sh” after all. It was all I could do to keep a straight face as he rang her doorbell. How much more fun life is with all the laughter we share.
