We got to come to Moore, Oklahoma to visit with Jason’s family for Thanksgiving. His brother Brent has a huge house that is perfect for entertaining. The kids are having a blast in the bounce house in the house. I mean really, how fun is that!!!
This was my brother and sister-in-laws first time to host Thanksgiving for the family, and wow they went all out. They made turkey, ham and there must have been over ten sides to go with the meat.
You know how I love fun food! In addition to regular mashed potatoes, she also made purple mashed potatoes! I’ve had little purple potatoes before. I threw them in the crock pot with a roast, but I never would have thought of mashing them. They are so unique, pretty, and colorful!
As I always say, something has to go wrong on every trip. It adds spice to life right? Well this time I ended up with a stomach bug! Soon after the Thanksgiving meal I started feeling bad, and then was up half the night. I guess I was due for a turn being sick on a trip. Thankfully this morning I feel much better. Last night I took the baby in a separate room, and we went to bed at about eight leaving Jason to deal with the rest of the kids.
This morning when I got up Jason told me he couldn’t find his bag last night. He forgot to put it in the van! Ha ha! So he’ll be wearing the same thing again to day. Cracked me up!
I hope you’re having a great holiday with family. Don’t spend too much money on all those great sales! 😉

Really? Purple potatoes? Are they purple all the way through? And do they taste the same as regular potatoes? Hope you are better today.
I was wondering what that purple stuff was… Glad you had fun! Happy Thanksgiving!
