My girls took swimming lessons about three years ago, but none of them learned how to swim in the two weeks sessions. Yeah I know, what was I thinking! But putting the kids in multiple sessions over one summer was not affordable. After a couple of years of asking around we found the Hurst Aquatics Center. It is the most affordable that I have found in the DFW area even though we are not residents of Hurst.
The girls loved their two weeks of swimming! All three made progress in their swimming skills and I was very pleased with the staff.
Grace especially loves the water!
On the last day of instruction I was able to go up to the side of the pool to take photos, before that parents are asked to wait where the children are visible but not very close.
They were also very excited on the last day to have some free swim time and go down the slides! They are sad it’s over, and I have thought about trying to enroll them in another session. I want them to be proficient swimmers so that I’ll worry just a little less about them drowning. Ha! Taking five non-swimmer kids to the pool by myself is just impossible.
My Little Jason was very disappointed not to get to swim. At his age just one session of swimming lessons seems like a waste of money. Maybe next year!
