It was great to see Dad and Mom! They had been to visit a supporting church and decided at the last minute to stop by and see us. Well, to give them credit they let me know the day before, but actually any time would be a great time to see them!
Mom and I sneaked out with my oldest two for lunch date at a near by Mexican restaurant that sells pupusas. I think pupusas are from El Salvador. I discovered them at a Mexican restaurant in the area and just love them. They are like a thick corn tortilla cooked with cheese, beans, and chicharron (pork meat) inside and served with a cabbage salad marinated in vinegar. Yum! I want to learn to make these.
My mom Frieda has been a long time contributor to LaughWithUsBlog. Some of my favorite stories growing up were of my mom telling about all of my sister’s escapades. If you haven’t read them you’re in for a real treat!
More recently Dad has begun writing some of his memories. Can you believe he traveled through Mexico and Central America by himself and didn’t even speak the language? Sounds crazy to me! 🙂
I was so thankful for a visit with then no matter how quick and that they arrived back home safety. Now that they are home from all of their travels maybe they’ll do some more writing! 🙂

Wonderful to have a family visit! And I always look forward to reading their stories…
