Fondue is so fun and easy to customize to any theme! Last year we were on a fondue kick and I think I made it at least once for every occasion! This was our St. Patrick’s Day dessert that we enjoyed after our dinner. Some times I try to go with authentic Irish cuisine and other times, like last year I just go with festive green and shamrock.
To make the fondue I purchased Dark Chocolate & Mint Morsels from Nestle Toll House. I separated the green from the chocolate chips and melted the chocolate chips according to my standard easy chocolate fondue method. Then I melted the green chips in a small glass bowl in the microwave. The consistency was a little different than I had expected. The green chips didn’t melt quite as well, and the oil separated a little. My idea was to swirl it in so that it would be pretty on top of the chocolate fondue. The consistency didn’t quite work to do that, but it still showed the two colors when I swirled it in.
The Cool Mint Oreos with the green centers have become a St. Patrick’s Day tradition at our house. I served them with the fondue.
For dippers I found these fun Chocolate Mint Flavored Marshmallows and also had plain marshmallows and rice krispi squares.
This was a hit with the kids for a fun, but super easy to prepare St. Patrick’s Day dessert!

I can never tell which kind of fondue set you use for your fondues! All I can tell is it isnt electric because I don’t see a cord, haha. Tea light possibly?
