Our family enjoyed Southern Cross Ranch as a part of a blogger promotion. All opinions are my own.
We spent the morning zip lining at Trinity Forest Adventure Park, and then spent the afternoon at Southern Cross Ranch with our all day dual park pass. Y’all, we had so much fun! It was like a day of family camp, and I’ve been dying to take my clan to a family camp. This was perfect!
What I learned: When I made my reservations I wondered how far apart the two locations were from each other. They are together and share a parking lot so no having to drive around.
Ask for a schedule! We did not receive a schedule for Southern Cross Ranch when we registered, and I didn’t realize until our day was almost over that there was one. This is extremely helpful because the events throughout the ranch run in shifts and are not all open at the same time. We ended up missing several things I know the kids would have loved like the petting zoo, paddle boats, and Euro bungee because I didn’t understand how things are scheduled.
Plan to eat at the ranch! Either bring a picnic lunch or plan to eat at the full service restaurant. We had planned to eat at the restaurant, but some people told me it was closed for a family reunion. That wasn’t true! Later I talked to others that ate lunch there and loved it. Drinks and snacks are also available for a reasonable price.
The kids played on the play ground, walked around the lake, and had a great time exploring. There is even a swimming pool to enjoy!
Joy decided to conquer the rock wall. I didn’t think there was any way she would make it all the way to the top.
Not to be outdone Grace got up there too. They tried and tried and BOTH of them reached the top of the wall. I was so proud of them.
The longest zip line over the lake is at Southern Cross Ranch. Even though we spent the morning zip lining, this one was especially fun!
When the heat gets to be too much, there’s even an air hockey table and Foosball table inside for the complete day of camp experience.
We stayed and played until we were all completely done in. It was the funnest day! We all want to go again, especially now that we know the ropes! Pun intended! 🙂

Thank you so very much for posting this information and the pictures. This is really helping me make a decision on where to host my Family Reunion this summer. This would be our first time visiting Dallas, TX.
Mandisa, Hi! Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I hope all your plans come together and you have a wonderful time visiting in the Dallas area!
